I love this driveway alert. We have a long driveway and the sensor is on a tree half way down the driveway so I always know when someone is coming in before they get to the door. No surprise guests. It sounds off if it is a car or a person walking up the driveway. Animals don’t seem to set it off, except one night a deer did. G. McKenney “BookGal” (Northern Michigan)

This is the third unit I have purchased. It was a gift for my grandparents. These systems are great for people who need more time to get to the door, and for blind spots. All of the sensors I have are about 200 feet from the receiver with several buildings in between and I have had no reception problems at that range. The battery life so far is at least a year on mine. Because of trees etc. no other motion sensor I have owned have been able to work without false triggers, but this unit works in high wind and rain without false alarms.
This product is compact, discreetly sized/colored and easy to assemble (once you’ve read the directions carefully. It has not given any false alerts and seems to be operating efficiently. Having a long drive and the house located above most of the drive- the most difficult aspect was finding a site from where the signal could be received. The result is that our warning is shorter than preferred but the signal is received with the base located anywhere inside.
The signal is a short beep which is loud enough to hear but also unobtrusive so may also be missed if there is a lot of noise going on. At present we are happy with our purchase!
