Warranty vs. Insurance

A warranty is a form of coverage given by the manufacturer to the consumer buyer from mechanical defects and malfunctions of the product.  This is to ensure that the appliance was created to serve its purpose and function according to its design.  It may actually seem having the same meaning of protection over an item, which in this case is a home appliance. However, there are many details that differentiate warranty and insurance over a home appliance. The coverage ends there and no other conditions may warrant. Insurance is a coverage given by a third party firm to protect an item from certain events not pertaining to the mechanical or design of the item. Home appliance insurance covers such items stated.
