Why Professionals Love the Minolta Digital Camera

Filed Under (Digital Camera) by Fajar on 28-04-2008

The Minolta digital camera is the product of renowned Japanese Company by the same name. Founded in 1928 by Kazuo Tajima, this Company was initially known as the Japan-Germany Camera Shop and was baptized as Minolta only in 1962. This was the same year when John Glenn carried a specially built Minolta Hi-Matic camera with him on Freedom 7 to capture memorabilia in space.

This exceptionally successful company merged with Konica in 2003 and was renamed as Konica-Minolta Corporation. However, in the beginning of the year 2006 Minolta announced that they stopped manufacturing cameras. Sony bought off and became the owners of the branch that looked after SLR cameras in the Konica-Minolta Corporation.

The Image of the Minolta Digital Camera in the Global Market

The Minolta digital camera aimed and succeeded to create a niche for itself in the professional area of digital photography. Before Minolta was introduced, professional photography mostly meant sophisticated manual cameras which took years of experience to use optimally. The Minolta digital camera eliminated the complications while it improved the results.

The DiMage line of digital cameras offered highly advanced functionality in an extremely simplified form. It made professional level photography feel like a child’s play without any compromise in the end product (photographs). The professional photographer now felt like he/ she had been given a very able assistant – because the Minolta digital camera could understand and respond to what he/ she wanted to be captured when focusing on the subject.

There were more reasons why the Minolta digital camera became so popular in a very short time in spite of the steep price it demanded. This camera was designed to be used by professional photographers who previously handled 35 millimeter SLR cameras; the Minolta digital camera responded to all the requirements they had from an SLR without the intricacies and complications that this had previously entailed. Changing lenses, adjusting to light, diffusing glare or coping with shadows – everything could be commanded to the Minolta digital camera while it would have been a long struggle with the SLR.

This is why in a very short time the Minolta digital camera (particularly the DiMage 7) became extremely popular in the global professional photography field. Even today, after the manufacturing of these cameras has stopped, they are still in demand. The reason for this is that these cameras still offers full value for money. This camera has been a gift to the professional photographer helping him/ her to use the best technology can offer – simplicity and optimal results – to their advantage.

Filed Under (Digital Camera, Gadgets, Home Electronics) by Fajar on 19-04-2008

Digital camera technology in today’s day and age is incredibly advanced especially if you are considering purchasing a digital camera yourself you are going to want to be aware of this technology so you will be able to make the most informed and intelligent decision. When it comes to digital camera technology there are many things that are going to be improving all the time.

Pixel Count

You should also know about pixel count. This is one of the main ways that manufacturers categorize their digital cameras, in terms of pixel count, and this is the number of pixels that go into each image. The more pixels a camera has, the better quality your pictures are going to be. Also the more pixels a camera has, typically the more expensive it will be as well.

Digital Zoom

On the topic of digital camera technology, one of the first and most important issues you need to be educated on is digital zoom. This is the measure of a camera’s ability to magnify pixels in an image, or in other words how closely you can zoom up on your target. Before buying a camera you are going to have to determine how important zoom is going to be, how often you are going to use it for your pictures.

Then there is also the digital zoom and optical zoom, and most digital cameras have both. Optical zoom basically works just like a zoom lens on a film camera, and optical zoom is the zoom lens which uses movement of lens elements in order to achieve various different fields of view.

Aspect Ratio

The aspect ratio is also a very important matter in the topic of digital camera technology. This is the ratio of the length of the sides of the images. The size of the digital sensor element should also be considered, and this is equivalent to the size of the negative for film cameras.

Making the Buy

Once you are more educated on digital cameras and the technology that is involved with them, you will feel more informed and educated and much more comfortable once you finally do head out to buy a camera. You should also take advantage of the help offered to you in the stores that you go to buy the camera at. They are experienced and knowledgeable in the field and will be able to help you find the camera that is going to be best suited to you and your needs.

Wireless Security Cameras Are A Good Investment

Filed Under (Home Electronics, Home Security, Security cameras) by Fajar on 07-04-2008

The problem with older model security cameras were all the pesky wires. No matter where you want to put your wireless security cameras, you can always keep an eye on your property from those who may intend to steal or destroy. Wires limited the places you could put the cameras and if you were trying to keep the security cameras inconspicuous, the wires pretty much cancelled that out, too. With the new wireless security cameras, you can put them anywhere, you can hide them in spots you never could before and there are no wires to trip over.

Where To Put Them

Placing wireless security cameras all over your house may seem like a paranoid thing to do but the videos they produce can be great pieces of evidence to show the police in case you do have an intruder when you’re not home. If you’re using your wireless security cameras to protect your home with, you can put them anywhere you want because, again, you don’t have to worry about pesky wires. You should put one facing your front door in case there’s a break in when you’re not home, you can put one in each bedroom, in the living room and facing a back door in case an intruder decides to come in that way.

In A Store

You want to protect your business even when you can’t be there. If you own a store or some other type of business establishment, wireless security cameras are also a great idea. You should have a wireless security camera on each door and also on any stock that you have. You can’t be everywhere at once so it’s a good idea to put a wireless security camera anywhere you have anything valuable.

This way, you don’t have to go through hours of tape just to find the point in time when someone tried or succeeded in breaking into your home or business. Then, you can set up your wireless security camera to transmit directly to your computer. You can record continuously or you can get motion sensor wireless security cameras, which will only record whenever they sense movement. Bottom line, wireless security cameras are convenient, they’re a good idea and that makes them a great investment for any home or business.

You can find wireless security cameras at spy shops, at your local video equipment store or online. They make them small enough to be so inconspicuous, you’d have to know exactly where they were to notice them and that makes them perfect for keeping an eye on things even when you’re not around.
